其它 | 摘要:Two extracts from flowers or young branches of Elaeagnus angustifolia L., dispersed in propilenglycol were microbiologically tested on four microbiological strains through disc diffusion method. These strains were isolated from pathological products harvested from hospitalized patients in Constanta Hospital: wound secretions (Staphilococcus aureus), pharynx exudates (Streptococcus pyogens), saliva (Klebsiella pneumoniae) and urine (Escherichia coli) and obtained in pure culture. Antibacterial activity of those two extracts was compared to a reference substance (Peru balm) all dispersed in propilenglycol in ratio 1:1. This last one represents the control sample. The tested extracts have antibacterial activity, more evident on gram + coccus (Staphilococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogens) than gram - bacillus (Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli). The flowers extract has a more intense antibacterial activity than Peru balm, product known for his antibacterial activity. |
