其它 | 摘要:A 2D simulation of H2/O2 low temperature functioning polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell is performed using COMSOL Multiphysics 5. 2a to validate with experimental results of a 25 cm active area PEMFC. The fuel cell comprises of Nafion 212CS membrane with serpentine flow field and different catalyst loadings. The flow field has 25 number of channels at theanode side and 16 number of channels at thecathode side. It has a channel to rib width ratio of 1:1 operating at 1 bar pressure and maximum temperature of 70°C. To study the PEM fuel cell's behaviour, the present simulation model uses current balances, an agglomerate model to describe the current density in theactive layer. Maxwell-Stephan diffusion equations to describe mass transport and Darcy's law for momentum transport. The effect of separate channel dimensions for anode and cathode are studied using polarization plot, electrolyte potential, pressure and surface mass fraction distributions at anode and cathode.收 |
