Yang Jin, Gu Yi ** State Key Laboratory of Polymeric Materials Engineering, College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, Chengdu, 610065, On the basis of our previous work of “side-chain functionalization of polyimide”, two novel aromatic diamines 4’-methoxybenzoyl hydroquinone- 3,5-diaminobenzoate (MBP) and 4’’-(4’-methoxybenzoyl)benzoyl hydroquinone-3,5-diaminobenzoate (MBBP) with different length/diameter ratio rod-like structures composed of fully Relative intensity aromatic esters and end capping of methoxy group were synthesized, and comfirmed by melt point test, FTIR and 1 H-NMR. Based on the two diamines, a novel soluble copolyimides were newly prepared with 4, 4/ -oxydiphthalic anhydride(ODPA) and 4-aminophenyl ether(ODA) by classical two-steps approach in NMP. At the same time, two homo-polyimides with different length side-chains were synthesized with ODPA by one-step approach in m-cresol. Key words: polyimide side-chain synthesis aggregation |
