In the sea area where seasonal winds move a sea berth heavily, this sort of power-optical fiber composite cable had never been put in service; therefore, a best fit cable system was newly required. Furukawa Electric developed a riser system which houses an FRP armored cable in a rubber hose, on the basis of their long amassed engineering for flexible riser pipes. |
