摘要
The physical and chemical properties of ion-conducting solids based on beta alumina structures are described. The very existence of the successful sodium/sulfur and sodium/metal halide (zebra) batteries is due to the remarkable properties of these materials, which are able to act simultaneously as electronically insulating ceramic separators and ideal electrolytes.
