摘要
The alloying of Ni with other elements is a common strategy to improve the performance of Ni coatings. Among many Ni-based coatings, NiMo coatings are widely used in various fields due to their excellent hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and electrocatalytic properties. Compared with other preparation techniques, the preparation of NiMo coatings by electrodeposition has the advantages of simplicity, moderate cost, and high efficiency. By selecting appropriate electrodeposition parameters, coatings with various properties can be obtained. In this review, the electrodeposition mechanism, electrodeposition parameters, and the properties of NiMo coatings are comprehensively discussed. The effects of electrodeposition parameters on the elemental content and current efficiency in NiMo coatings are also described in detail. Additionally, a summary is provided for the related content of heat treatment and energy field-assisted electrodeposition, emphasizing the potential applications of the latter in the preparation of NiMo composite coatings. This review summarizes and evaluates the previous related literature reports, aiming to guide the development of NiMo alloys and composite coatings with better performance.
