Visible-light-induced aerobic oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes/ketones via solvated dispersion intermediates

Visible-light-induced fast and selective aerobic oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes/ketones with HBr as a mediator in ethyl acetate enables high selectivity (up to 99%) and high conversion (up to 97%) for a broad range of alcohols.
