Abstract BiOCl/Bi 2 S 3 composites were synthesized by polyol method under 80°C water bath condition, and the composite BiOCl/Bi 2 S 3 has excellent photocatalytic activity for carbon dioxide compared with single BiOCl. Among them, BiOCl/Bi 2 S 3 -4 h has a higher conversion efficiency, which is mainly caused by the structural characteristics of BiOCl/Bi 2 S 3 and the proportional content of Bi 2 S 3 in the composite therein. The corresponding composites can be best formed in a hollow spherical morphology when the synthesis time is 4 h.
