摘要
Medical imaging, a method of producing pictorial depictions pertaining to body's inner parts is utilized in medical intervention and clinical research for exposing unseen interior structures behind the bones and skin. Medical image analysis is a new emerging field to improve the precision of diagnosis of disorders and to ensure that the patients receive better care and treatment. Images can be MRI, CT, X-Ray, Mammography, Ultra Sound, Cardiograph etc. Image analysis includes many steps like image acquisition, enhancement, edge detection, segmentation, ROI detection, interpretation, classification etc. This study contains a thorough discussion of the reviews in a categorized manner to specify the achievements attained in the earlier studies and the requirements yet to fulfill in the respective fields. The crucial works reviewed in this research are preprocessing, segmentation, Feature recognition and classification of medical images.
