Biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of inflammatory bowel disease

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic disease including Crohn′s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). There are no single diagnostic criteria for IBD.Biomarkers are an objective measurement and evaluation of physiological and pathological processes.
