Summary
Solid-state nanopore/channels with confined space and tailoring surface properties have been proven to be a versatile new tool for ion/molecule transport, biochemical sensing, etc. The integration of solid-state nanopore/channels and DNA nanotechnology enhances the performance of systems by precise structural design of nanopore/channels and molecule design of DNA. Here we review recent advances in the integration of solid-state nanopore/channels and DNA nanotechnology and summarize four integration systems from division surface design of nanopore/channels and molecule design of functional DNA. We highlight the matching design of interface for the integration of both advanced nanotechnologies and how this integration offers a new way of advanced applications, such as the regulation of nanofluidic ion/molecule transport and biochemical sensing. Future research and challenges are presented in this new cross-direction to attract more attention from different fields to promote the development of nanopore/channel technology and DNA nanotechnology.
