On the frontal view, the pre-procedural angiography demonstrated that the lateral lenticulostriate arteries were retrograde and supplied the distal segment of the MCA, while the post-procedural angiography showed the blood flow of the lateral lenticulostriate arteries recovered anterograde but somewhat pale. The occluded left MCA (white arrow) returned patent on the lateral view.
