Two new taxa of Clematis subsection Pierotianae (Ranunculaceae) in Taiwan

Based on a taxonomic study of Clematis subsect. Pierotianae in Taiwan using morphological evidence, two new taxa are proposed: C. parviloba Gard. ex Champ. subsp. shengzhenii Y.H. Cheng & T.Y.A. Yang and C. pengii Y.H. Cheng & T.Y.A. Yang. Both taxa, endemic to Taiwan, are here described and illustrated and distribution maps of both taxa are presented. Morphological comparisons and a key for identification of the taxa of Clematis subsect. Pierotianae in Taiwan are also given.
