These errors were identified by the authors following an exchange with scientists seeking to reproduce the authors' findings. We are therefore retracting this Article. With the postulation that up to 8% of dementia cases could be prevented with proper hearing loss management, our findings highlight the urgent need to take measures to address hearing loss to improve cognitive decline.
