摘要
Considering the importance of phenolic compounds as potential antioxidants and their complex chemical structure and distribution, it is essential to be able to correctly assess their content in food and beverages and therefore to understand their possible biological effects. In this chapter an updated overview of the solid-phase extraction (SPE) methods used to determine phenolic compounds in food and beverage is presented. SPE is an efficient technique widely used to extract diverse analytes from different sample types. This method utilizes cartridges, columns, or syringes with an adsorbent material where the analytes are adsorbed, and each of these methods offers specific advantages and can be tailored to meet specific analytical needs. Its versatility and wide range of applications in analytical chemistry make SPE a popular choice, and. In this chapter, an updated overview of the main solid-phase extraction (SPE) methods used to determine phenolic compounds in foods and beverages are presented.
