This chapter is the culmination of the material covered in the previous chapters. The actual comparison process is systematically established, and the types of equipment necessary for most examinations are described. Today, there are published standards covering examination procedures and describing every facet of the process of comparison. The standards establish how each of the factors important to a comprehensive examination and comparison is performed.
