Development and Application of PAN-based Carbon Fiber

PAN-based carbon fiber has the properties of carbon material inherent, e.g. fine electricity, heat studies and the mechanical properties and also has the soft machinability of textile fiber. As a steel substitution and new material, it is widely used many sectors, e.g. aerospace, airplane, satellite, launch vehicle, tactical guided missile, spaceship, as well as chemical industry, mechanical and electrical, industries and civil domain and so on medicine, mining, transportation, sports equipment, building material. This article introduced transformation performance, process technology, domestic and foreign production status, application and market prospect of PAN-based carbon fiber. Some proposals on the development of China carbon fiber industry have put forward.
