A Study of Foam Separation of Notoginseng Saponin and Saccharide

The surface tension of the crude notoginseng saponin solution was determined. The factors effecting on the foam separation, such as gas flow rate, pH, feed concentration and feed volume were investigated. Under the selected conditions the recovery of notoginseng saponin and saccharide were 73.6% and 87.5%, respectively. This method was simple, effective and had no pollution.
