The case concerned an 89-year-old male patient with a mild decline in renal function. The CT images revealed a 6-cm inhomogeneous tumor mass adjacent to the left brachiocephalic vein, which was being excluded by the tumor. Tumor invasion into the left brachiocephalic vein cannot be identified on preoperative CT and MRI images interpreted by radiologists. Tumor biopsy was deemed difficult because the tumor was close to the aorta. Considering the patient's old age, we presented him with treatment options, such as radiation therapy and follow-up observations.
