摘要
Purpose: In an inquiry carried out by the Vision Research Institute, contact lens manufacturers were asked the following question: “When reporting on the sagittal height of your scleral contact lens(es), at what chord length is this measurement obtained?” The majority of manufacturers responded that these measurements are calculated from lens tip to tip when placed on a flat surface via a computer software design program. Through analysis of reported and measured sagittal values, and inspection of lens placement on an ocular surface, a comparison of sagittal height of various scleral lenses designs was carried out.
