Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.In the real-time detection of marine plankton, it is difficult to find the three-dimensional morphological features quickly. In traditional image reconstruction methods, the angle error is large and the matching accuracy is too low. Therefore, a method of 3D image reconstruction for marine plankton based on virtual reality was put forward. Two cameras were used to observe the three-dimensional image of marine plankton from different angles. Based on the results of stereo matching, the deviation of image feature points was calculated. Finally, the depth information of object was obtained by triangle similarity principle. Thus, the three-dimensional image of marine plankton based on virtual reality was reconstructed. Simulation results show that the proposed method can quickly and accurately complete the 3D image reconstruction of marine plankton.
