摘要
The effect of rare earth cerium (Ce) on the localized corrosion behavior of the non-equiatomic Fe40Mn20Cr20Ni20 high-entropy alloys were investigated in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution. The corrosion resistance of the alloys increased with addition of Ce, which owing to the protectiveness and compactness of passive film was enhanced. The composition and shape of inclusions were modified by Ce, which resulted in the alteration of the localized corrosion behavior. A linear relationship between the doping density and thickness of the passive film was identified. The discussion based on the point defect model (PDM) was carried out and give a qualitative analysis. The raw/processed data required to reproduce these findings cannot be shared at this time as the data also forms part of an ongoing study.
