Learn more.Copy URL Share a linkShare onFacebookTwitterLinked InRedditWechat Abstract In this article, a single-layer dual-polarization transmission metasurface (MS) is proposed for multi-feed and multi-focus characteristics. The unit of the MS is formed by two metal layer patches, which are in each side of a substrate, respectively, and are connected by four metal via. The units can realize 360° phase shift, and 13 × 13 units are arranged to design a near field focusing transmitarray with required focusing point numbers, positions and feed numbers. As example, two MSs with size 8.32λ0 × 8.32λ0 at 16 GHz are designed and one is fabricated and measured. The measured result validated the design. Compared with the existing transmitting MSs, the developed MSs have the following advantages: single-layer substrate, dual polarization, multi-focus, and multi-feeds.
