Reductive cross-coupling reactions, which enable the enantioselective construction of C-C bonds directly from two electrophiles in the presence of a terminal reductant, have emerged as a complementary strategy to traditional cross-coupling reactions for the assembly of complex enantiomerically enriched compounds. Reductants that provide electron sources include Zn or Mn, photochemistry, or electrochemistry. In this chapter, we discuss advances in asymmetric reductive cross-couplings, including the dissociation of C-halogen bonds, C-O bonds, and C-N bonds.
