Hyaluronidase Injection for Prevention of Moderate or Severe Complications After Contrast Media Extravasation: A Propensity-Score Matched Analysis

In this propensity-score-matched study, the rate of moderate or severe complications after extravasation of iodinated contrast media (ICM) was not significantly different between hyaluronidase-treated and control groups [12.0% (3/25) vs 13.2% (9/68), respectively; p=.95], adding to the limited evidence that hyaluronidase is not effective in treating ICM extravasations.
