Thermal and spectral study of some divalent metal chelates of 2,5-dihydroxy-p-benzoquinone

The thermal and spectral properties of chelates of 2,5-dihydroxy-p-benzoquinone with divalent cobalt, nickel, zinc and copper have been investigated. The properties are compared with those of naphthazarin chelates. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to prepare a beryllium chelate and to study the beryllium-dihydroxybenzoquinone system spectrophotometrically and potentiometrically.
