摘要
A broadband cross-polarization conversion (CPC) metasurface is designed and analyzed for linearly polarized electromagnetic (EM) incidence. The unit cell of purposed design consists of rectangular split ring resonator with an X-shaped pattern placed in the center. The unit cell is mounted on a grounded dielectric substrate to curb any kind of transmission of EM energy. An excellent cross-polarization conversion (CPC) is achieved from 17.46GHz to 29.85GHz with conversion efficiency higher than 98%, which is higher than other similar designs. Moreover, the structure is angularly stable up to 40o of incidence angle. The design has 3dB fractional bandwidth of around 70% thanks to electric and magnetic resonances occurring at three distinct frequencies within the band of operation.
