摘要
In recent years, conventional materials possess major threat as global pollutant, and many research have been carried out to find an alternative environmentally-friendly biomaterial. Polycaprolactone (PCL) is one such biomaterial, which has received global attraction due to its eco-friendly nature and applied because of its biocompatibility, FDA approval for internal medicinal application, low immunogenicity. PCL has gained interest among researchers for various biomedical applications such as controlled drug delivery system, tissue-engineering scaffolds, and wound healing. This review summarizes the recent advancements in the effective application of PCL in the field of biomedical as a carrier and different form of blends.
