摘要
Clinically, with the treatment of cardiovascular disease in addition to surgery and interventional therapy, drug therapy is also a common means. With the development of medicine, new dosage forms and new technologies are playing a more and more important role. Designing new type of drug delivery systems (DDS) to achieve precise drug release and prolonging drug action time has become a hot spot; the application of DDS in clinic is also increasing gradually. A variety of biomedical materials are used in different types of DDS. These biomaterials include natural polymer, synthetic polymers, metals, and ceramics for the preparation of different drug delivery systems. DDS includes liposomes, micelles, polymer nanoparticles, metal nanoparticles, dendrimers, hydrogels, viral vectors, and so on. In this chapter, details of them in CVD will be discussed.
