摘要
Sodium sulfinates smoothly undergo sulfenylation with indoles using enthol as reducing agent to give structurally diverse indole thioethers in moderate to excellent yields with extremely high regioselectivity. In this reaction, no extra stoichiometric reducing agent is required to remove the two oxygen atoms of the sodium sulfinates. Moreover, this reaction is completely in line with the concept of green chemistry, wherein ethanol, a green solvent, played a dual role: serving as reducing agent and reaction solvent.
