This paper discusses the development of rigorous teaching of light chemical engineering majors by combining intelligent teaching tools in undergraduate education. Based on the problems of using traditional teaching methods to teach professional courses in light chemical engineering, a computer-assisted rigorous teaching reform is carried out for undergraduate students by adopting a hybrid online and offline teaching mode. It mainly includes the enhancement of knowledge application ability, the auxiliary effect on the online and offline hybrid teaching, as well as the enrichment and improvement of assessment methods. It is not only conducive to cultivating undergraduate students' ability to link theory with practice and improve their thinking, but also connects course content with industry frontiers and research hotpots, expanding students' horizons and effectively improving teaching effectiveness and student training quality.
