摘要
The modern battlefield requires to develop innovative solutions on holistic command and control systems. A digital transformation urges to revisit procedures and techniques to ensure a real-time synchronization of effects in operations across domains. The way joint forces operate depends on how the operational environment evolves in multiple domains, at the same time creating synergies and dependencies among them. Information is traditionally shared among different command levels using domain-specific systems. A paradigm shift emerges in order to achieve a unique view to support decision-making and integrating capabilities and enablers in a multi-domain concept of maneuver. This article analyses the state-of-the-art and the implications of current and future command and control systems, where the pace of technology advancement is changing dramatically both the commander’s decision process and his perception about the situation.
