An Integrated Multiphysics Model for Phase-Change Material Switches

A computer aided design software integrated model of Phase Change Materials (PCM) based switches has been developed and integrated into Keysight ADS-Pathwave software. The physics-based model is able to predict the phase change of the PCM layers. A nucleation model is integrated into ADS and predicts the Off-to-On switching time with good agreement between model and simulations.
