Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopment disorder that can affect the ability to communicate, socialize, and behavioral challenges. Facial emotion recognition is a methodology that helps to detect the emotions of humans. But, people generally suffering from ASD lack in expression recognition. In order to improve their ability to detect emotions, it is necessary to teach them at an early stage, which is childhood. This research work showcases the use and implementation of the basic architecture of the Convolutional Neural Network to educate children with ASD to identify human emotions. An existing dataset from the literature has been used to validate the model and an accuracy of 67.50% has been achieved.
