摘要
In order to understand the origin of numerous metabolites found in human urine following ingestion of bananas, a study of aromatic metabolism in the banana has been initiated. Thin-layer chromatography and reverse-phase ion-pair liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection have been combined to yield specific information about aromatic amino acid metabolites in the pulp and peel of the banana.
