53463 Are positive antithyroid antibodies more frequent in extensive vitiligo patients?

Introduction: Vitiligo is an acquired inflammatory dermatosis with a well-known association with thyroid disorders. Patients with autoimmune thyroid disorders have a higher risk of developing non-segmental vitiligo with a predisposition for acral and joint depigmentation. Materials A descriptive retrospective study was performed. Data was collected from June 2022 to July 2023 in a dermatologic center in Bogota, Colombia. We included demographic data, thyroid antibodies positivity, location and subtype of vitiligo and affected locations. We performed an univariate and bivariate analysis. Data was analyzed in Jamovi 2.3.26.0.
