Total synthesis of natural product trichophycin-I

Concise total synthesis of chlorovinylidene containing natural product Trichophycin-I has been achieved in 11 steps with an overall yield 8.5%. The key steps involved in the synthesis are Pinnick oxidation, Evan's methylation, vinylic Finkelstein reaction and Brown allylation.
