Drive the oncologists into exercise promotion in lung cancer

The American Society of Medical Oncology (ASCO) has recently released the guidelines for exercise, diet, and weight management during cancer treatment.[1] These recommendations emphasized that exercise provides significant and clinically meaningful benefits in patients with cancer undergoing systemic therapy, radiation, and/or surgery. Overall, 42 systematic reviews and several additional randomized controlled trials supporting the safety and the crucial role of exercise in patients with cancer have been included in these guidelines, with most data available in patients with lung cancer.
