Toxicodynamics of Chemical Mixtures Exposure in the Organism Body

As humans, plants, and animals are exposed to more and more chemical pollutants, environmental pollution has become a concern for humans. Humans, plants, and animals are often exposed to single and mixed chemicals that are present in the environment. Chemical properties, production, and the corresponding main sources of pollution/toxic effects evaluation are the main aspects of health assessment. This chapter provides an overview of the toxicological effects of several major chemical contaminants present in the environment, using chemical mixtures as an entry point and the zebrafish and mice as the main research objects. The toxicological effects of the major environmental chemical pollutants on the target organs, i.e. the heart, nerves, blood vessels, liver, and kidneys are analyzed. The study contributes to an in-depth study of the mechanisms of toxicity of environmental pollutants in the organism.
