Separation and Identification of Chemical Constituents from Agriophyllum squarrosum(L.)Moq.

Objective:To study chemical constituents of Agriophyllum squarrosum(L.) Moq..Methods:The chemical constituents were isolated by various chromatographic methods such as silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and HPLC column chromatography.The structural identification employed chemical characters and spectroscopic analysis.Results:Ten compounds were obtained and they were identified as:spinasterol(1),stigmast-7-en-3β-ol(2),ergosta-7,24(28)-dien-3-ol(3),stellasterol(4),cholest-7-en-3β-ol(5), lupeol(6),β-amyrin(7), 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin(8),palmitic acid(9) andcis-15-vaccenic acid(10). Conclusion:Compounds 4,5,7,8,10 were isolated from Chenopodiaceae for the first time.Compounds 1-3,6 were isolated from Agriophyllumfor the first time.
