摘要
The advent of nanotechnology has propelled inclusion of nanomaterials (NMs) (Montmorillonites (MMT)), layered double hydroxides (LDH) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), and so on) within polymeric nanoarchitectures (PNC), to attain effective flame retardancy (FR). Recently, MMT has been utilized to achieve FR in PNC due to elevated specific area, broad surface area and large aspect ratio forming critical FR mechanism in PNC. Also, LDHs with proven FR effect in PNC due to effective FR mechanism while MoS2 display nil-combustibility, facilitating its FR in PNC. Therefore, this paper presents emerging flame retardancy of MMT, LDH and MOS2 PNCs.
