摘要
This study presents a detailed examination of the implementation of prestressed concrete pipe-piles in the soft ground of a coastal region in Guangdong province, China. The discussion is initiated by an exploration of the prestressed concrete pipe-pile and the unique challenges brought forth by the soft ground conditions, characterized by low strength, high compressibility, and plasticity. Subsequently, the paper delves into the practical application of prestressed pipe-piles in the soft ground, shedding light on potential limitations and pertinent issues. The intent of this analysis is to furnish a comprehensive guide for foundation design and construction in soft ground conditions, thereby equipping decision-makers and practitioners with valuable insights to navigate analogous situations effectively.
