摘要
We read with interest the article by Metais et al.,1 which reported that short-term antibiotic treatment during febrile neutropenia (FN) in patients with acute myeloid leukemia was as effective as prolonged therapy for bloodstream infection (BSI), with very few relapses over 30 days. Patients with hematological diseases are susceptible to BSI due to long-term neutropenia, and P. aeruginosa presents one of the major cause of hospital acquired infections.2 P. aeruginosa is intrinsically resistant to a variety of antibiotic agents, and it is easy to develop resistance under the overuse of antibiotics.
