Uranyl-silicotungstate-containing hybrid building units {α-SiW₉} and {γ-SiW₁₀} with excellent catalytic activities in the three-component synthesis of dihydropyrimidin-2(1<i>H</i>)-ones

A new hybrid uranyl-silicotungstate (U3) was synthesized and characterized. U3 contains two kinds of Keggin-type building units and shows good catalytic activity in the synthesis of dihydropyrimidin-2(1 H )-ones from aldehydes, acetoacetates, and urea.
