摘要
In this work, a method was developed for the in-situ formation of novel solvated ionic liquid containing lithium boron (B-LiIL). Lithium bis (oxalic acid) borate (LiBOB) and lithium bis(mandelate)-borate (LiBMB) were synthesized by in-situ coordinated with polyethylene glycol, which overcame the disadvantages of conventional ILs, such as high expense, serious corrosion, and poor compatibility with base oils. Except for the strength of unique stability, economy, and easily available, these solvated B-LiILs also perform very well in friction-reduction and anti-wear properties on steel/steel contacts even under more demanding test conditions (high temperature and load). Moving on, the solubilization and tribological mechanism are systematically revealed and investigated to rich the design and mechanism exploration of lubricating molecule in this work.
