摘要
Mixed-model assembly lines are almost never perfectly balanced in industrial practice, nor can sequencing fully compensate imbalances. A promising approach to achieve both equal loads for operators and high throughput for manufacturers is dynamic line balancing. Besides the tasks fixed allocated to stations, some tasks can be shared between adjacent stations. Decisions are made on the tactical design regarding the identification of shared tasks and during the operation assigning shared tasks to stations for each job. This work provides a classification of the respective tactical and operational decision problems, classifies existing literature accordingly and derives an agenda for future research.
