Simple and Tightly Approximated Integrals Over <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$\kappa$ </tex-math> </inline-formula>-<inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$\mu$</tex-math> </inline-formula> Shadowed Fading Channel With Applications

In this correspondence, simple and tight bound approximations to the integrals representing the average of some useful forms of the Gaussian Q function, over a κ-μ shadowed fading channel are proposed. These are then used to calculate the symbol error probability of various digital modulation schemes over κ-μ shadowed fading channels, which include a majority of the widely used classical fading models. The accuracy of the analysis is further confirmed with the help of computer simulations.
