摘要
The south-east margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is highly sensitive to global environmental changes. Even near treeline lake areas that are very minimally impacted by human activity are sensitive to these global changes. In this study, we used pollen and diatom analyses to reconstruct the past vegetation, ecosystem, and climate changes. The pollen record was used to indicate vegetation changes and showed that the treeline and the vegetation belt have been generally moving upward from 1845 AD to the present. The diatom record showed that the lake level was rising along with a warming climate during this period. Comparison of the pollen and diatom records with other records suggests that the ecosystem change in the lake and the adjacent region are perhaps mainly impacted by the warming climate.
