Due to the special physical properties of low porosity and low permeability and complex pore structure, the traditional rock physics model is no longer applicable. In this paper, a modeling method is proposed based on the complex mineral component model and the equivalent medium theory. This method subtly considers the four characteristics such as the diversity of tight sandstone matrix minerals, the irregularities of pore structure, the connectivity between pores and the anisotropy caused by fractures, and obtains multiple parameters that can reflect the characteristics of the reservoir pore structure. The pore structure parameters calculated by this model fully take into account the general laws of rock physics and regional differences, and have high accuracy. The application in a work area shows that this method can effectively mine the micro information hidden in the logging data, and can provide a reliable reference for the division of high-quality reservoir intervals.Presentation Date: Monday, October 12, 2020Session Start Time: 1:50 PMPresentation Time: 2:40 PMLocation: Poster Station 4Presentation Type: PosterKeywords: rock physics, well-log interpretation, fractures, interpretation, porosityPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2020-3428423.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byModeling Method to Characterize the Pore Structure of Fractured Tight Reservoirs17 February 2022 | Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, No. 4 SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2020ISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2020 Pages: 3887 publication data© 2020 Published in electronic format with permission by the Society of Exploration GeophysicistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished Online: 30 Sep 2020 CITATION INFORMATION You Zhou, Guangzhi Zhang, and Shengwei Zhu, (2020), "A method of pore structure parameters prediction for the deep tight sandstone reservoir," SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts : 2484-2488. https://doi.org/10.1190/segam2020-3428423.1 Plain-Language Summary Keywordsrock physicswell-log interpretationfracturesinterpretationporosityPDF DownloadLoading ...
