摘要
This paper introduces the design of wideband Power Amplifier (PA) biased in class AB configuration operating at 3.3 to 4.3 GHz frequency band for 5G base station applications. The PA is designed using active device CGH40010 manufactured by Cree Inc. with broadband matching networks that leads to enhanced performance of PA. The detailed step by step methodology along with full layout is presented in this paper. The EM co-simulation is carried out of proposed PA which achieves the peak DE is the range from 68 % to 80 % along with more than 15 dB gain for entire frequency band. Additionally, the peak output power is ranging between 40.5 dBm to 42.2 dBm.
